[00:00:00] Foreign. [00:00:06] Welcome back to another episode of the Dish with Tish. How are we doing? [00:00:13] How are we holding up with this retrograde? Because I know my technology has been irritating me to the nth degree, and I am Just try it. I'm like, okay, I'm just trying to create my little art and do fun things with my friends. Like, I don't need this technology pissing me off, which it has been. But aside from that, it has been a pretty good week for me. I did a really fun podcast, screen Drafts, which, if you're a cinephile film buff, you will love. We were ranking all of the best neon movies, which was such a blast. [00:00:55] So seen some really good shows, some good movies, been outside, so it's. It's been good. How are you guys holding up? I hope you've been hanging in there with this retrograde because, honey, Mercury must be in the microwave because we're getting fucking cooked. I mean, for the Love island girlies, I had to come back and rerecord this entire segment because it has been a wild 48 hours post Kanae breakup. I started seeing things in real time. People peeping like, oh, Janae took all her Kenny posts down. Oh, she's not following him. Oh, he took Janae out of his bio. Oh, Leah and Serena aren't following him anymore. Oh, neither are Miguel and Cordell, Liv, Kaylor, Connor. Unfollowed Kenny then started following Janae. First off, I'm like, connor, get a job. Like, who are you? [00:02:01] What is your place in this? But the fact that this is a mass unfollowing, and let me tell you, it went from kenne to conniving, because, Mr. Kenny Rodriguez, you are a sociopath. I mean, that is truly some of the most diabolical, terrifying behavior I've heard of in a long time. [00:02:28] Like, honestly, it is next level. Like, when Janae said that it was some of the most terrible, vile, disgusting things we could think of, I. [00:02:42] My mind did go dark for a second. I was like, maybe he has another family. I was thinking it was more in the realm of cheating, but racism did not even come into my mind. [00:02:57] Especially because. Hello, Ketty Rodriguez. The color of your skin, your ethnicity. Girl, if you don't have a passport on you in Texas, you might be getting caught by ice. So what do you mean? [00:03:11] What are you talking about? [00:03:13] And I just feel my heart hurts for Janae because not only was this done to her, but to be such a public figure in a public couple. I mean, they are literally famous for their couple. And Finding love on this show, and for him to just be using her for clout and to pay his bills is truly such disgusting behavior. I mean, of all the speculation that we saw yesterday, race did not even come into play. Especially because, you know, I fell for the propaganda. This man was boohoo, snot crying after Casa, talking about how much he needed her and loved her, and even looking at, like, some of the old posts he had for Janae, it was like, this man is down bad. He loves this woman. So racism, him not liking black people was never a factor that I even considered at all. And you can like black people, you can lust after black people, be attracted to black people, but you don't respect black people. And that's the root of all racism right there. My heart just breaks for Janae because not only is your partner so comfortable using that word, and it's not to you, it's about you in rooms that you're not in. And you were planning a future with him, planning on giving him beautiful black children. And to know that he is so comfortable using this word, I can just only imagine the number that this is doing for her. And I'm so glad that every single person in that cast recognizes how disgusting and. And abhorrent this behavior is. I mean, one thing, okay, Leah. [00:05:21] Leah's gonna ring your ass up. Leah's gonna give you your fucking number, okay? And I've been living for her. Serena, don't play Liv. We got Liv in the ring now, girl. [00:05:36] One thing about Liv, she gonna call everybody out, okay? Like, Liv is gonna clock your ass. [00:05:43] These season six girls, I kind of forgot. [00:05:47] And they don't. They don't play about each other, and they especially don't play about Janae. And knowing that he was just using her for clout to better his self and further his career. Girl, what career? Like, it just makes it ten times worse. Truly, it's ten times worse. And I'm so grateful that her. Her friends and family are surrounding her and supporting her. But everyone was wondering why Alandria was so hesitant with Nick, and this is a prime example as to why. Because as a black woman being with a non black partner, you are in a very vulnerable state. [00:06:34] And as much as someone can be attracted to you and lust after you because the lust is there. Like, these are beautiful women. It has nothing to do with that. [00:06:44] But it's literally just lusting after someone versus actually respecting them and wanting to be in a partnership. Like, the amount of clout, the amount of cultural currency that you get in A couple like this, especially being a black woman, that's something that people don't think about, and people do profit off being in a relationship with a black woman. Truly and in all honesty, my heart just breaks for Janae that she has to. That she had to find out in that way. As Malcolm X said, the most disrespected person in America is the black woman. [00:07:27] And we have to deal with racism every single day, all day. And to have it come from the person you're in a relationship with, sharing a bed with, being in a couple with the person you trust the most, oh, my God. And I'm like, what a sociopath. You were literally sleeping with her. Like, not only did you violate her body, you violated her time, her. Her essence, everything. [00:07:57] And there are some people who are like, how did she see it? How did she. You know, first of all, blaming the woman for the man being a sociopath is wild behavior, borderline domestic violence. Because why would she see that this man was literally snot crying, playing at her fucking face for the last year. [00:08:18] So why would she know that? Why would she even second guess and go to the worst thing? Cheating one thing that's fucked up. We're in a monogamous relationship. Don't do that. But to be saying racist things about you, talking about how he can't wait for this to be over so he can fuck hella bitches, quote, unquote, bruh. Like, how would she know that? How would she know that? And people who blame Janae and other women in situations like that really have no wherewithal or critical thinking, which is something a lot of people are missing right now, truly. Like, read a fucking book, interact with people outside of your demographic and know how these things work. [00:09:07] Hello. Like, a woman shouldn't have to be on guard 247 and questioning every single thing in a relationship, because what's the point of being in a relationship if you don't trust your partner? Relationships are built on trust, am I right? [00:09:24] So for people saying she should have seen the signs in a relationship, to me, it's like, that's really scary behavior to bring blame the woman in a situation like this when that man is clearly a sociopath. [00:09:39] Like, maybe at some point he did develop feelings, and when they were in the villa and shortly after. But something switched. I can give him the benefit of the doubt for that. Maybe. [00:09:52] Maybe he had feelings when they were in the villa and they left. [00:09:57] Obviously, his fam. Well, it seemed like his family accepted her, her family accepted him, and. And something switched or he just is an incredible actor. An incredible actor. [00:10:12] But regardless, that man took advantage of her. Her emotions, her love, access to her body. [00:10:19] And it's. It's. It's just really devastating for her. And I just. [00:10:26] I just can't imagine for a whole year, for a whole year sleeping with this man, doing like, oh, my God, it's just such nasty work, truly. [00:10:38] And, you know, his ex girlfriend said some stuff, and I. I kind of believed her when she made her little TikTok video, talking about all the things that she went through with him. I. I believed it. I didn't go again. I didn't go straight to racism, but I was like, something is off. [00:10:58] Something has happened here, and it is just really. [00:11:02] Men are scary like that. Men are scary like that. Like, the fact that they were just at an event together, like, right before this. Oh, man. And honestly, it's really giving Ariana. [00:11:18] It's scandal vaults. Ariana said she had a gut feeling to look in Tom's phone from Vanderpump Rules tying it back to that. Ariana had a gut feeling, she said to look through that man's phone when it fell out of his pocket and someone gave it to her, and she found those videos. [00:11:39] And Janae, something in the universe, told her to look through his phone and she found those text messages. [00:11:50] And it's just really. [00:11:52] I feel like the producers casting y' all need to reevaluate. Like, y' all need to really have a better casting, because the way that black women have been harmed from the decisions that have been made, whether it's Yalissa, Ciara, Austin, tj, whoever. [00:12:17] Like, if you're gonna have black women in the show, you need to protect them, period. [00:12:22] Like, we are not just clout. We are not just ways for you to get your money so you can get the audiences. Because black women are constantly building things up brick by brick. [00:12:35] Like, no, we're not here to just be pawns in your game. We are people with feelings and emotions. [00:12:43] So you should really reconsider your casting process. Y' all need to really be vetting these people. [00:12:50] Real psychiatrical evaluations and really sleuthing through people's social media, like, not just the first few years. You need to go, let's go back back to the beginning and especially a dating show. Y' all should be talking to exes. [00:13:11] Y' all should be talking to exes and say it. What was this person like? How did they treat you? Like, y' all need to be vetting these people. I don't Understand? [00:13:21] Why are you not doing this? [00:13:23] It's really terrifying to me because at this point, I. I will check out. Like, if it's not fixed, if people really aren't going to change, then I can't. I can no longer support this show. As much as that saddens me, I am not going to keep watching black women be disrespected over and over and over again, either through the contestants themselves or after with the social media. Like, something's got to give. We have to protect people. Because why would you want to put yourself out there to be humiliated, ridiculed, dragged, for the color of your skin and your gender? [00:14:06] Like, why would you put yourself out there to do that? I know I sure as fuck would it. So I just am like, everybody needs to do better. Everybody needs to do better. Except for Janae. Except for Janae. I'm rooting for you, girl. I'm. [00:14:21] You have truly. And another thing, if Janae does not get the same kind of fucking brand deals that Ariana got after Scandival, we will be rioting. [00:14:33] We will be cutting up and acting up, because that girl deserves just as much. [00:14:39] She deserves all the clout that Kenny wanted for herself. And I hope that she is surrounded by love. And this is going to take a lot of time. I'm sure, like, this is going to do a number. This is going to do a number on her. And I just hope that ppg, her family and her friends and obviously the fans, we don't play about Janae. We don't play about any of the PPG girls. But Jeanette, we don't play about her. So I know that we are going to surround her and just constantly be pouring love into her as she does for so many people. [00:15:17] Like, even rewatching the show, it's like she was always the person that people confided in and hyping other people up. And I hope that she gets that in return because she's a goddess. And prayers up, prayers up for our girl. [00:15:34] We love you, Janae. We love you so, so much. We are rooting for you. We are going to support you in everything that you do. We already were, but now, till the wheels fall off. Okay, we got you, girl. We got you. One thing about Love island, girlies, we don't play when it comes to ppg. PPG is why Love island has become such a thing in America. [00:15:59] So we ride for those girls. We stand like, we really do love them, especially. They are three women of color. I'm rooting for them. I hope that Jana is okay, and I hope that she is surrounded by her loved ones and just so much support. I saw the edits of her and Rob are already starting because they were kind of the. The thing last year where we said, oh, because Rob secretly always had a little thing for Janae. And I saw a little twitch stream of him when he saw the news. [00:16:33] Like, things slowly, like, people unfollowing Kenny. And he. He don't play about Janae either. [00:16:40] So let's see this. Okay, let's call this now if that becomes a thing. And I manifested two swirl couples. Okay. Also, I have to admit something, and this is really a hard time for me, and I have been feeling so hetero lately, and it's just like, really hard because, like, I. [00:17:10] I haven't felt this way in a long time, but I'm just, like, feeling so hetero. I think it's. I mean, I know it's the Nickelandria of it all and the Danielle and Ibiza of Too Hot to Handle Italy. I'm like, let me get a little swirl. [00:17:26] Let me get a little swirl action. I hate it, but it's true. And I'm just like, please respect my privacy at this time, you guys. I'm really. [00:17:37] I hate that I'm. I'm feeling it right now. I'm like, oh, my God. I just. Give me a little man to kiss and hug right now. Just, like, feel the weight of a man on top of me. What? Did I say that? Who said that? [00:17:52] Speaking of swirl, we got our interview with Shalandria, Shelly and Alandria did Keke Palmer's podcast. And, you know, it was. It was cute. It was cute. Um, I. I love Keke. I love Keke Palmer. Down, Chicago girl. She is so. I mean, she's like the millennial diva. We love her. But is she a journalist? No. One thing that has really stood out, especially with the Love island stuff post Villa and seeing all these interviews, podcast, reading these clips on them. [00:18:40] Some of y' all need to go back to school. It is really wild to me that a lot of y' all have these platforms and are, like, the most listened to podcasts and have these huge audiences, and y' all can't interview for shit. [00:18:55] I mean, like, I know you don't have to be biased. [00:19:00] Like, you should be going in objectively. And if you don't know some of you dishers, I am going back to school. And honestly, it has made me be like, thank God I signed up, up for. I'm doing a pop culture1.01 class. Understanding, Critical Thinking and Objectiveness in the Pop Culture World. [00:19:22] I'm doing a journalism class, a storytelling class. I'm very. I'm actually very excited. And I'm a perpetual student. I love learning. I love school. So I am excited. But when I started this podcast, you know, I was like, I really want. It's been going so well, and I'm like, I just want to lean into it because I see how some people are doing their stuff, and I'm like, I don't want to be that, like, one thing about me. If I'm gonna go in, I'm gonna go all the fuck in, and I'm gonna make sure I go puss first and really put it into it, okay? Because otherwise, there's millions of podcasts out here. Literally, last I checked, it was like, 3.54 million some podcasts out here, and people just be talking to talk, and I'm like, I'm trying to walk and talk. Okay? Like, if I'm gonna do it, I'm gonna do it right, and I'm gonna do it big, and some of y' all just need to go back to school. So anyway, my girl Kiki is not a journalist. [00:20:22] And, yeah, I just felt like one thing. This was literally two days after they left the villa. [00:20:33] So, I mean, they hadn't seen the show yet. So it was a lot of. I don't know what happened. I. I don't know. We haven't watched yet. Which is frustrating because I'm like, maybe you should do that before you're commenting. And also, it was before, you know, all of the other islanders podcast and interviews, like, especially Huda and her call her Daddy Amaya. Like, all of them, these had not come out yet, so they didn't have all their information. [00:21:09] So that was kind of frustrating because I'm like, you guys, don't. You have nothing? Like, sure, you can comment on your experience, but also, like, there's been a lot more shit that has happened since this interview was even filmed. Like, Alandra still had her micro braids, so. [00:21:27] Hello. [00:21:28] And I also felt like it should have been two separate interviews. I felt like Keke really loved Shelly. Like, she was down for Shelly because, I mean, she's another queer black Virgo femme. So Kiki was locked in with Shelly, and Alandria is more reserved, she's more shy. [00:21:49] Like, she's getting used to this public scrutiny and probably speaking publicly. That's not everybody's strong suit, you know? And I can tell Alandria struggles with that and she got there. But I kind of wish she would have had her own interview. I'm waiting for Alandria to have her own one on one. And people really ask her. There's so many questions I would love to ask her that people are not touching on. Like, Keke kind of did a little bit about, like, her initial attraction to Nick and how she felt about that. And I still felt like Kiki was more invested in Shelly and Ace versus Nick and Alandra. I kind of felt like Kiki didn't take them seriously. Tbh. And I also feel like, you know, even when she ended the podcast, she said, you know, I am rooting for Shelley and Ace. I really like them. And Alandria, you know, I'm paraphrasing, of course she said, alandria, you know, whether it's with Nick or someone else, I hope you find love. And I'm like, okay, like, why you have to say it like that? I don't know. To me, that's just like, not really the same energy. That's not, that's not being objective. That's clearly like low key bias, you know, and that's, to me, that's just, it's feeding into the narrative that Nick and Alandria, like, you don't believe in them and that's fine. But like, just, just interview Shelly then, you know, don't invite Alandria and bring up Taylor the whole time and downplay her connection with Nick and bring up Sierra so much when they both have said that they're falling in love with each other and they've literally liked each other from the start. You know, it's just feeding the propaganda, honestly. And I don't know, I just feel like some people are stuck in black women having like, this black love. Which is why I think Kiki is happy for Shelly and Ace as a couple. But I'm also assuming it's because Nick and Alandria aren't labeling things yet. But I do find it odd. Like, if my girl is happy, I don't think it should matter what race, what religion, whatever they are, you know, like, whoever is saying that, like, I just hope she finds love either way, I'm like, that's such a backhanded compliment. Like, it just rubbed me the wrong way. And I just feel like black love should be about getting the best love possible with whoever that person is, period. Like, whatever is best for them. You know, Like, I, I understand not being fully comfortable expressing certain things. And, you know, I just, I. [00:24:37] I do wish Landry would open up a little bit more. And that's the stuff I want to talk to her about. It's like her. [00:24:43] Her journey. I do feel like Alandra has gotten more confidence to pursue their relationship and this connection because of the fans. Like, we. We see how happy he makes her regardless of his race. [00:24:59] We just want her to be happy. And I think that, you know, the Nickelandrians shippers are providing her that. That confidence to really pursue it. And I truly just want her to be happy. I would love for her, Nick, like, I do think that they're truly the epitome of Black Cat Golder retriever vibes. You know, it's really giving Serena and Cordell because she is so shy and reserved, and Nick is just like, you know, and that also goes back to Kenny and Janae. If Cordell unfollowed Kenny, then I know something bad happened because Cordell is such a sweet, gets along with everyone kind of guy. So I'm like, if Cordell's not fudgeing with you, you did something. You did something. [00:25:50] Oh, and I want to know. And we're going to find out one thing about Janae. She gonna let us know what the hell happened. And I. [00:25:57] I'm just ready to be. I'm already in her corner. I'm already. I'm already standing 10 tones down for my girl, and I'm here for it, because we don't play. We don't play another thing we don't play with. Oh, my God. Trisha Paytas. Girl, your womb is something of legend. The lore of Trisha Paytas womb is insane. I know you do have to be chronically online to know this, but luckily I am, and I. I've seen it going down this week alone. I mean, it's crazy. [00:26:37] So Trisha Paytas has some kind of magnetic energy in. In her womb, okay? All of her children have been born. When someone prolific in history has died, It's. It's crazy. So walk with me. Her first child, Malibu Barbie, was born on the same day that Queen Elizabeth died. And then her second baby, her daughter Elvis, was born on the same day that Pope Francis died. And then her third baby, Aquaman, was born on the same day that Ozzy Osbourne died. Okay, is this a coincidence, or is she conjuring up some stuff? I hope she kept that placenta, because something magical is happening. Is this going to be in the Practical Magic sequel? [00:27:37] Maybe? Because something's going on. [00:27:40] Something is going on there. And. [00:27:43] And on top of that, this. Okay, you guys know I love My theories, you know, I love my theories. It's something that I did Peep. Was her last child, Aquaman, born on the day that Ozzy Osbourne died? Okay, walk with me, walk with me. So her son's name is Aquaman. Guess who hosted Ozzy Osbourne's last concert ever? [00:28:12] Jason Momoa. Jason Momoa, AKA Aquaman. [00:28:18] I mean, I'm saying, like, is she conjuring something? [00:28:24] I don't know. I don't know. But I am scared. I am scared. Those children are powerful. This is like some Sue Storm, like Fantastic Four stuff going on in, in, in Trisha and From Trisha to Tisha. Girl, teach me, teach me. I've said I don't want to have no kids, but if I could have some kids that are manifesting stuff like this, possibly being reincarnated queens, popes, fucking rock star legends, innovators of reality tv. [00:29:01] I mean, I'll pop some out, I'll pop some out. Just teach me Trisha. Because she did get her tubes tied, she said the birth was traumatic. So she's done having kids. And I know for, for those of us who have been following this, we were kind of hoping that she was gonna get Mr. Donald Trump. We were hoping that he was gonna be the one taken out when she had her baby. But unfortunately it was Hulk Hogan. It was the wrong racist, unfortunately. But I mean, we had so many deaths last week too. Like, I mean, the rule of threes, it is, it is real. We lost Malcolm, Jamal Warner, Theo Huxtable. [00:29:46] Just so sad and the most horrific. I feel so bad for his family. They were on vacation in Costa Rica and he drowned. [00:29:57] And I believe his 8 year old daughter was there and trying to help and oh, I can only imagine how truly traumatic that was. Like, that is really, really rough. [00:30:09] And Ozzy Osbourne, of course, we lost who was truly the Osbourne's. The Osbourne's walk so the Kardashians could run Osbournes, but even more so because they were really so wholesome. Like that was a show. [00:30:26] It was like water cooler talk. That was monoculture. Everyone was watching the Osbournes. They literally put, they put fresh life into reality tv because at that time, you know, we had Survivor in the real world and Road Rules. The challenge, Surreal life, all the flavor of love, rock of love shows. But the Osbournes was like the first like day in the life of someone famous show. And, and just seeing Ozzy trying to turn on the TV and change the channel and Jack and Kelly beating each other up and you Know, Sharon just trying to hold down the fort. Like it really was so wholesome. And yeah, it's, it's sad, it's sad. That's. That's really tragic. But I do feel like it's the most metal thing to have your final show and then die. And Jason Momoa hosted it and you're a part of the Trisha Paytas womb legacy lore. It's metal as fuck. [00:31:32] It's pretty, pretty metal if I do say so myself. [00:31:37] Very much so. You know what else is metal as fuck? Gwyneth Paltrow doing the Astronomer. They really. Whoever is the marketing PR person that hired Gwyneth to do their press announcement. Bravo. Because that was grade A genius as hell. That was so smart. They didn't bring up Coldplay one time. And we all know Gwyneth and Chris Martin unconsciously uncoupled iconically. [00:32:15] And I thought that that was just such a brilliant move to do that. That really is like, that's, that's how you market. And you know, Gwyneth is not cheap, okay? Her. Her yoni eggs, her organic vegan erewhon eat and sip in Paltrow ass is not cheap. And oh, job well done. That really. They have been redeemed. First of all, nobody who knew who they were a couple weeks ago and not everybody know Astronomer and you pivoted in such a baller way. [00:32:52] Kudos. [00:32:53] Kudos. That, that really sent me. That really sent me. That was so good. But something that was not so good. E News canceled again. [00:33:05] Oh, God, that, you know, my dream, My dream would love. I remember watching Knocked up and being like, I would eat that. When she's trying to, you know, be an anchor. I'm like, man, I would eat that. I would eat that in another. In another universe. I feel like I, I would, I would tear that shit up. Being able to like, be a. Like, who's someone like a. Justin Sylvester is someone who. I mean, and if you know Justin. Justin is the current host of E. News, but he started as Kyle Richards assistant and then pivoted to E. News and now is doing his own thing. Fellow Scorpio, because I want to report on it, but I'm also still going to create my own stuff. [00:33:50] This gives me fuel. It's something I've always been invested in, but I also want to still make my own stuff. Obviously, he's a great example of that, but I mean, it's just such an institution and it's bums me out. I think that they're gonna pivot to the Digital put more energy into their digital and social media stuff, which I understand that's kind of the way of the world now and it just, it just kind of sucks. You know, between MTV News being shut down and now E News, I mean everything, we're getting most of our news from, you know, all of the social media now. And, and that also scares me because it is so quick for misinformation to come out. Like I was saying last time with the Astronomer when all of that broke, there was so much misinformation. Now not having reliable sources is, I don't know, I just feel like that could be a detriment to us because if we don't know where the information is coming from and it's just some girl who's bored or some person who's just some guy is just saying something to get some clicks and doesn't actually have verified information. [00:35:16] I mean that's literally how we've gotten to where we are now as a globe in 2025. So I really do hate that. And not saying that E News was reporting about like the hard hitting facts, but also, I mean, yeah, they were. When it comes to entertainment, they were a reliable source and I think that they still will be able to provide that just in a different way. But you know, I do, I miss that. I miss watching E. News, watching the soup. I mean a huge reason why I even have this is the Soup raised me. Meeting Joel McHale was like a top five moment of my life. Truly having a conversation with him and being able to tell him how much he meant to me while on set of another TV show, that was a slay. I will say that like I love that. I love. I mean that's literally why I'm doing this podcast. Like it's a part of my identity, my life. [00:36:16] But you know, we're just moving in a different direction. And the Dish with Tish is still going to break it to you guys. I am trying to be on my, my A game because there's so much being thrown at us and I mean it is a full time job, truly. It's always something going on on top of the everyday stuff and the real global news that's happening. You know, there are children starving in Gaza right now. You know, like this is pop culture and entertainment news is such a reprieve from the shackles that were that are around us right now because of misinformation, because of false information. [00:37:00] And with the Dish, we are really trying to cultivate a safe, happy place that is talking about what's going on in a real way, but also being. Trying to be as objective as possible, you know, And I do feel like a lot of these sources, they're kind of biased. Even like Time magazine. I'm like, girl, what are you talking? Hello. What? Just some of the stories, it's just becoming very like, okay, I know where your head's at. I know who's paying your salary. You know, there's even a rumor right now that's been floating around that Lauren Sanchez might get Vogue be as a wedding gift. Like, Jeff Bezos truly might purchase Vogue for her. Just for fun, just to say, I love you, babe, like this, you know, And I understand the people who are like, the filthy rich. [00:38:00] Like, I don't care. Like, celebrity. Celebrity Weird, Holly, weird. [00:38:07] It's. It's changing and it is. And I do feel like social media is changing it so much because we don't really have, like, we don't. We know everything about everyone. [00:38:20] And at least for me, of course I want to dish, right? I want to talk about what's going on. But I'm also like, I miss, like, movie stars. There's not a lot of, like, movie stars where people aren't posting every single thing. Like, social media. I love someone who is off the grid, like a Ryan Gosling. That's my fucking guy. He's one of the biggest movie stars. Doesn't have social media, doesn't need to. I don't want it. I don't want that. I don't. You know what I mean? Like a Jessica Chastain. Like, people who are. We know who they are. They can't. But they can also, like, be off the grid, you know what I mean? Like, I don't need to know your every single thing. I feel like Zendaya also does a good job of that. She post her stuff and that's it. And I'm sure they all have finstas and fake things like that with their immediate circles, but we don't need to know every single thing. So I'm trying to be the dish with Tish is trying to create and cultivate a safe space knowing what's going on in the entertainment world. [00:39:25] And with, of course, like, islanders, dishers, things like that, we are going to be a little more invested because that's different. Like a reality show talking in a sense of it being a TV show. Of course they're real people, but they're kind of characters in a way versus, you know, a movie or TV show with scripted characters. I just feel like now that reality TV has come into play. [00:39:52] People are thinking of them as characters and not as actual people. And therefore, the plot is just getting lost on top of it just being so divided in. In this world, you know? So losing a source like E. News is a bummer. It's a bummer. And we're. We're going to be bringing it to you. The dish is going to keep you fed. Okay? And some honorable mention news stories of this week that I'm going to breeze through so we can get into our dishes. [00:40:26] We got. [00:40:28] You know, it's so funny. I try to line up, show certain shows that I go to. I'm like, maybe if I go to this show, I'm gonna get something good. I'm gonna get something good. And when I was initially thinking of seeing the Cowboy Carter show again, we had discussed Vegas. We were thinking either Washington, D.C. for 4th of July, one of the Atlanta shows, or Las Vegas. Those were the ones that were on our radar. We're like, something good gonna happen at those. Something's gonna happen. We obviously, I chose to go to Washington, D.C. and it was an amazing concert. 10 out of 10, wonderful experience, great vibes, great audience. [00:41:09] But Las Vegas, the final night of the show, my dream date, Cute. Had a fucking Destiny's Child reunion. I mean, oh, my God, they got Kelly, Beyonce, and Michelle information, honey. I mean, even the walking. [00:41:29] Oh, I am so jealous that I. [00:41:35] I don't know. We did. In D.C. we did get Michelle, but she was not on this. On the stage. She was watching with Mama Tina. But, man, Vegas, you guys are so lucky. [00:41:47] Y' all are so lucky. What an amazing experience. [00:41:51] And I feel like we will get a comeback eventually. [00:41:55] I feel like we're gonna get some Destiny's Child sprinkled in there at some point. But to see that in real life as an adult, because I did see Destiny's Child at the TRL tour when I was a child. But to see them in their fully formed adult mothers, boss ass bitches, Broadway stars, world famous, would hit on a whole nother level. And also with the Beyonce of it all, I do. I have a feeling. I mean, I know we've been talking about part three, act three being a rock album, but here's my theory with that, because, you know, I love them. [00:42:39] So right now on Beyonce's website, there's a picture of the lead singer of System of a Down. [00:42:46] He was at the Cowboy Carter show. [00:42:49] And I feel like there is some correlation there, because their biggest album with toxicity, released on September 4, 2001, which is Beyonce's birthday. I believe that was her 20th birthday. So I feel like they're. And they're very political. Very. [00:43:12] You know, they're on Def Jam Records. I believe. I believe they were, like, one of the first to be signed with, like, the rock label. [00:43:20] And that's by Ran. By Rick Rubin, who is, you know, hip hop and rock, and he runs that. So I feel like there's something there with that, too. I don't know. I feel like maybe he could be producing that and, you know, with the lemonade of it all. Jack White. So, yeah, I feel like the. The next era will be rock and roll, and I can't wait for it. [00:43:51] That's going to be good. Vegas. Y' all got lucky. Y' all got lucky. The Kaitlyn Bristowe Colton Underwood Virgin show. [00:44:01] I mean, what. [00:44:03] What? [00:44:04] So we're canceling E. News, but we're making shows like this. [00:44:09] Make it make sense, you guys. Make it make sense. I mean, I am down for a messy, fun new reality show, but that is honestly, to me, that's someone's 13th reason, because what the actual hell is that? [00:44:27] No one asked for that. No one asked for that. That should be called Nobody wants this. Not the Adam Brody, Kristen Bell show. That is literally Nobody wants this. No one asked for this at all. Truly, no one. [00:44:42] So can't wait for that one season of the show. The fuck? [00:44:47] My God. My girl Charli XCX got married. Charlie married George. [00:44:53] I love that for them. And they're. They're just the coolest couple. They really are. The cigarettes in the after party and the reception, the. The wedding dress. I love seeing people get married and they look like themselves. It's not like, who is this? With all the makeup and the gown and the hair and all that? It's like a caricature of themselves. She was so her. And I really just love that for her and George. I think that they are such a cute couple and they seem so in love and happy and finding someone who accepts you for your freak. [00:45:37] That's all. Let that love find me. Okay. Someone who wants me at my chain smoking, partying, doing what, 360. Okay. I want someone who's with me 365 in every. In all avenues, whether it's club classics or Boom clap. [00:45:59] Even though she don't even fuck with Boom Clap. But, you know, I really. I like their relationship a lot. And I feel like they're. They're endgame. They're going to be together for a long time. Forever. [00:46:10] Forever. Babes they're going to be together for a long time. Another honorable mention. [00:46:15] Got some things filming right now that are cooking that I am very excited about. We saw Katie Holmes and Joshua Jackson making something. Filming. [00:46:26] And the Scream. I scrumpt seeing Joey and Pacey on my screens again. That. [00:46:34] That's gonna do something for my spirit. That's. That's. Between that and the little glimpse, we got a practical magic, too, girl. [00:46:44] My inner child is. She's healing. As Whitney Rose would say from Salt Lake City. She is healing. Healing and thriving. Okay. Because those are two of my coziest favorite things to watch. And seeing them together, all that chemistry. Oh. Ooh, I cannot wait. Dune3 started filming. Saw a picture of Anya Taylor Joy, aka Alandria's white twin. Tell me Alandria and Anya Taylor Joy do not look alike. Okay. If they need a little black version of anya in Dune 3, Denise sent a Landry over there because I'm telling you, it's actually crazy. Look at them side by side and tell me that they are not related in some kind of way. I don't know. The genetics, it's crazy. The cheekbones. The cheekbones. And the eyes. [00:47:46] The eyes don't lie. [00:47:48] And some Bravo news that popped off a little bit this week. [00:47:54] Jax's bar. [00:47:56] Apparently, Jax, he terminated his partnership with his bar, and he's not returning to the Valley. So finally, like, we can get his toxic ass out, because he really brought down the vibes. And I don't think either of those two were on his own accord. But it was for the best for that bar and for this show, because Jax has got to go. I mean, he is probably the worst person to ever be on reality television. He is just such an asshole in every way, shape, and form. And I'm just like, you need to heal. You've been on TV for 15 years, and, girl, you have not gotten any better. You have not changed. You have not evolved. If anything, you've retreated. You've gone back to season one, Jax, and that is not a good place to be. Season one of Vanderpump Rules Jacks. And that's. That's not good. Like, you have a son who you need to be worried about. Like, your priorities are crazy. So by love that. And apparently Michelle and Aaron from the Valley broke up. A K A balls eyeballs in. Michelle broke up. And that is sad. That girl is having a rough year. She lost her, her mom, the divorce with Jesse, and now her and Aaron broke up. And, you know, I just feel like. I'm sorry when you got little kids. [00:49:29] You just have to be more cautious about who you bring around them. Because that little girl, she. It seemed like she really loved Aaron. Like, she really liked him. They were talking like they were living together. They were talking about starting a family. Like, that sucks, you know, And I'm just like, I feel like you gotta wait a little bit before you bring them around. You know, I grew up with a single mom, and I did not meet anyone for. Literally, she did not play. It was like, if you meet this person, we've been together for years. [00:50:11] Like, this has been my guy. You just didn't know that. And I. Yeah, that's. I just feel like you can't be bringing your kid around all these people because they're just going to get confused. And. Yeah, that. I do feel bad for Michelle. Like, you know, robot or not robot AI. That's that. Because everybody. She's a robot. Because she talks really like. You're a disaster, Jesse. Disaster. I love the way she says disaster. [00:50:40] But, yeah, she's going. She's going through it. And I hope that her and Isabella get through this. [00:50:49] And Aaron, yeah, hopefully he gave them a lifetime supply of his honey and they can. They can get through this with the honey and each other. And someone who needs the honey is Ms. Shina Shay, because she is just on a press tour talking about. I've never seen someone talk so happily about being cheated on. Like, not me. Paying your bills and putting you on, giving you the platform that you have for you to turn around and cheat on me while I'm pregnant. [00:51:24] Girl, that's. [00:51:26] Mm. And what gets me with Sheena. So this is Sheena Shay from Vanderpump Rules. And now she's trying to make her way onto the Valley. One thing about Sheena, she. She gonna put herself in the mix. [00:51:40] She's gonna make herself a part of the equation. One way or another. She gonna find a way to be in it. But what kills me with this is, you know, it's sad. Obviously, being cheated on, I just feel like is the. That's the most. [00:51:58] It's the most violating form of trust that there is, especially if you're in a monogamous relationship. Like, just break up with my ass. Don't play, but don't play in my face. That's really. For me. That's. That's what kills me is that you're in my face, you're in my bed, we're doing things together, and then you're doing the same thing with somebody else. And if I'm pregnant with your kid on top of that. And I gave you the platform that you have on top of that girl. [00:52:35] No, but the thing with Sheena that bums me out more than anything is that last season of Vanderpump Rules. Her and Lala were speaking so much about Katie and Ariana not being real and authentic and not sharing stuff. And you know, the jealousy, the envy was seething through those two. It really was hard to watch. Like, sorry, but it's not about you. But they were just screaming that from the rooftops. For them to be authentic and show who they really are. But Sheena's hiding this whole affair and not talking about it on the show. So it's like, babe, the call is coming from inside the house. You were just projecting. So it's really crazy for her to be preaching at them about showing more and showing up to film and how they were making it difficult for them. Little did they know she was hiding this entire affair. [00:53:40] So I'm like, yeah, no wonder Ariana isn't taking your calls. And you haven't heard from her since they stopped filming because you're. Girl, that's, that's just as bad to me. [00:53:51] Like, please get out of my face. [00:53:53] And even, and even, we're gonna circle this back. We're gonna bring it all together, honey. [00:53:59] Going back to the Keke Palmer, Shelly and Alandria interview, something that I didn't notice and I talked to other, specifically other black women about was something that Shelly and Alandria said during the interview. They talked about. [00:54:20] They gave some kind of strange advice about how other black girls when, if they do decide to be on the show is to be your authentic self. And you know you're gonna get hate regardless. So just be yourself. To me, I, I understand, like, especially as a black woman, you're gonna get hate on regardless. Like, that's just how it is, period. Like, we're, we're, we're the most disrespected person in America, hence Malcolm X. Okay? Like, we really are the most. We are single handedly trying to save democracy, yet being shat on by it and everything else. And if you're queer, disabled, trans, fat, femme, anything on top of being a black woman, it just goes without saying. But to tie this to Sheena, the girls talked about being authentically yourself, showing up as yourself. You're gonna get hate regardless. But like, just be you. But then for them to give a very sanitized interview, I mean, I just feel like I, I know you have to kind of be on your P's and Q's and you don't want to be a caricature because I do think, and I've talked about this before, like especially being a black woman, you have to be, you know, a certain kind of way. But people talk so much about authenticity and showing up your as yourself and being you. Like Sheena kept saying that to Ariana and Katie that last season of Vanderpump rules and it's like, yes, but you can't preach about this and not do it yourself. That's basically the tie in of the two. Because while I was saying that I was like, this is reminded me of a conversation I literally just, just had with one of my dishers. Shout out, brandi girl, love you. But I just feel, yeah, like you can't really talk about that and then not show up as that. But I do know, I mean it is different for black women. We do, we're, we're going to be dogged regardless. But if I'm going to be dogged, I want it to be as myself, the best version of myself instead of being someone that I think people want me to be. You know what I mean? Because that even ties into the Sierra of it all with Love island. Going back to that if we're going to talk on it. Because something I felt like with Ciara is that she was trying to be the girl that she thought Nick wanted versus actually being herself and showing up as herself. And that's why even her doing all these videos, she just did a four part series talking about how she's not coming to the reunion. Which like, duh, I knew that was going to happen. People were messaging me and asking and like talking, do you think Sierra's gonna be at the reunion? And I'm like, no, she's not. Because that would be rewarding shitty behavior. Like she said a racial slur and held space for that slur. So no, she's not gonna be at the fucking reunion. But I do think that when you are trying to do what everyone thinks you wanna do and then people are hating that, it's like you're, that's not who you are. You know what I mean? [00:57:44] That's just me. I just feel like if I'm gonna show up, I'm gonna show up as myself and hate it or love it. Hate it or love it. As Amaya would say, I may not be the lettuce that you want in your salad, so don't fucking eat it, okay? I may not be the matcha powder for your Tea. So don't fucking drink it. I don't know. I've been trying to come up with some random funny was. [00:58:10] Yeah, try to think. I may not be your favorite nail polish color. So don't wear it if those. Don't worry, you got them. You can go to bag. You can get them if they not good. [00:58:24] In the Sierra of it all, I'm like, girl, please stop with these videos. That's someone who needs a social media break. Like that is someone who. [00:58:34] She's not doing herself any service. [00:58:38] Like it is really these videos she just. Did she talk about. I thought Alandra and I were friends, but maybe we weren't. It's like, girl, you were friends, but also that kind of ended when you stood behind Taylor because you didn't want Nick to be upset, so you chose Nick. And also Elandria chose herself and Nick to pursue this connection after you left the villa. What was she just not gonna pursue it and just sit there looking longingly at him? [00:59:13] No. And to me, that sealed the deal. When you stood behind Taylor for him to stay. [00:59:20] That. That friendship was. That friendship was cooked. It was the mercury in the microwave going off. So you can't. You can't say that. I just feel like she. She is doing way too much. She's trying to be seen. [00:59:34] And like, babe, we don't. We don't. Again, nobody wants this. [00:59:39] Nobody asked for this. No one, no one is. Is checking for you, girl. And as the person who had the Love island party, the birthday themed. The Love island birthday theme party, you should know it's not Friend Island. It is Love island. And she chose herself and she's pursuing it. So get over it. Get over it. We. We don't. We don't care. We don't care what you have to say, but we do care about our dishes. So we're going to get into those, shall we? So my. My appetizer this week is South Park. [01:00:18] Okay. I got to. I will admit, I have not watched south park like that in some years. It's been a minute. I do pop in when they have some spicy episodes. Because one thing about Trey Parker and Matt Stone, they are not gonna hold back. [01:00:37] They're going to call everyone out and they have so much truth to power in this show. This show is truly a staple. I feel like there's south park, the Simpsons and like Family Guy, they be caught, like they go in, but south park specific. Like, I feel like the Simpsons is a good predicator. Like they predict stuff and it's spooky like the Simpsons is very onto what's going on. They might be tapped into Trisha Paytas womb, I don't know. [01:01:13] But then south park calls people out like an umpire. They're like, you're out of here. Let's go. And this first episode, this premiere was so good and iconic because it was literally not even 24 hours after CBS decided to cancel the Late show with Stephen Colbert. Which is insane in itself that they're saying it's because of low ratings. But we all know why it was. It was for political reasons because Steven also called Trump out and was saying what's really going down? And they just were not trying to pay these big fees. [01:02:02] And you know, yes, yes, sure, okay, whatever. And Steven said, no, I'm not going to do that. So they canceled his show. [01:02:10] And then south park said, don't worry, we got your fucking back. We ride at dawn. And the way they spit fire roasted that man in that premiere. [01:02:21] Satan's got a new lover and it is Donald Trump and I'm so here for it. It was so funny. I can't. I can't wait to see more. They really, they. They continue to do their big ones. Matt and Trey, y' all are really go coated and are really trying to take that medal. And I am just. [01:02:44] Cheers, Cheers, Cheers, cheers. Great, great premiere. Great. Just middle fingers up, wave em hand high. Put him in his face. Tell him boy. Bye. They're so funny. They said, oh, yeah, we're terribly sorry. Wink, wink. Our bad. Wink, wink. [01:03:05] Truly icons. Icons. [01:03:08] So my main dish is a little show that I watched. I binged. I can't even say I watched. I inhaled this show and I can't stop thinking about it or talk about it. Building the band. [01:03:24] Building the band on Netflix. 10 out of 10 programming. [01:03:28] Netflix has found a good formula for them. They love them pods. They gonna get their money's worth with them fucking pods. But this actually works. So I went in blind. I didn't know about the pods at all. [01:03:42] And obviously with the One Direction anniversary last week, people were like, oh, you've gotta watch the show. It's Liam's last thing he did. You have to. And I was like, I will, just not today. Because I've already crashed out three times. I'm not trying to add another reason to. So I wanted to give it a little time after the anniversary. And I'm so glad I did because I mean, if you are a girl band or boy band or just band in general, lover, this show is for you. It is really such a cool concept. Like, they're in the pot. It's based off talent, which I also appreciate it's not based on. Looks like a lot of these groups were kind of like hodgepodge. Like, you would never pick the them to be in a group at all yet alone together. [01:04:31] But they are all so talented. I mean, they picked off of voices and vibes and they would reveal meeting each other at their first performance together as a group. And I just thought that was so cool seeing them grow together or fall apart, because some of them did fall apart. And Liam is just so. [01:04:55] That really was such a beautiful way to go out because he was such a great mentor, especially to a lot of the boy bands on the show. Just giving them that reassurance, you know, Like, One Direction ended in third place. They did not win, contrary to what people think. Like, they. They didn't win the show, but they won in life and they won our hearts. [01:05:19] Our one direction, our direction, our hearts. And I sobbed the last episode. Just, you know, the Liam of it all. The Liam of it all. So, yes, building the band was incredible. I highly recommend if you watch it, please message us and tell us your thoughts because it really gave me so much joy in life and I was really happy. My. My top three, I called that from that the jump. I knew it was going to be that top three. All of them were like, curated in a lab specifically for me. I'm already following them. I'm like, let me. I would literally pay to see all of y' all in concert. Like, y' all are so good and talented. Please let me go to the show. They're so good. Oh, my gosh. So that's. That's my main course. And then my dessert is definitely going to be Fantastic Four. [01:06:16] Fantastic Four was so fun. I'm like, bravo. They finally cracked the Fantastic Four code. This has been the one in the Marvel universe they have not been able to get. And I do think that it is because it has not been produced by Marvel thus far. Believe it was. Sony produced the first one. And I did like the. [01:06:40] The 2005 with Jessica Jessica Alba and Chris Evans. Those are fun. But the Michael B. Jordan Miles Teller. Respectfully, one of the worst movies I've ever seen. Such a waste of time. But this one, I feel like they cracked it because it's produced by Marvel and they focus so much on the family dynamics and relationships that the stakes were just so much higher. [01:07:07] The cgi, I mean, you know, the little baby. God. God bless Low Franklin. Apparently it was A real baby. But there was a lot of discourse about the CGI of it all. But I. I really did enjoy it. I was pleased. I definitely do think I love Superman a little more. [01:07:27] Superman just hit different for me. Maybe it's because I saw it first, but I. I really liked it. I thought it was great. My Pedro summer is complete. And I'm sad about it because I'm just so happy for him. I love seeing him win and succeed and seeing how far he's come and how much he's worked his ass off to get here. People who are like, oh, my God. He's like the male Anne Hathaway. He's everywhere. I'm like, this man deserved it. This man deserved it. You can literally see him from Buffy the Vampire Slayer to now. [01:08:03] Look at his. [01:08:04] Look at his. Go on his Wikipedia and tell me that man don't deserve to be on every screen. Truly. He. He's amazing. I thought they all vibed well together. [01:08:14] I did see Eddington, and I did not feel the same way. If you follow us on Instagram, you would see I did not feel the same way about Eddington. I felt like it was almost too soon. I was like, oh, my God. I am, like, actually uncomfortable with this movie. [01:08:30] Too soon after Covid to have a Covid movie. And then the third leg of the movie, pun intended, if you've seen it, is just Tarantino style. It's like violence, almost western, like. And I mean, I know Ari Aster, who did Midsommar and Hereditary, is not worried about making us feel comfortable. He wants us to sit in that discomfort and, like, mission accomplished, girl. Because that as soon as them credits were up, I was literally the first person out that theater. I was like, girl, I gotta get out of here. This is too, too real. Too much. [01:09:05] Just in 2025, I'm just like, no, not. Not yet. Not yet, not yet. No, no, no. So, yeah, my Pedro summer is complete, and so is my meal. That was pretty good. Yum, yum, yum. [01:09:22] You guys have been amazing. Thank you so much for your support. [01:09:26] Make sure you give us a nice rating. Follow us on Instagram the dishwithtish pod and we're gonna be dishing with you very soon. I love you guys. Have a good week. By Sa.
