[00:00:00] Foreign. [00:00:08] Welcome back to the Dish with Tish, the podcast where reality gets realer, celebs get weirder, and we never, ever skip dessert. This week, the pop culture gods did not take a day off. [00:00:24] We've got everything from Bravo news to court cases. [00:00:28] And yes, we will be mentioning it all. [00:00:31] So whether you're at the gym, doom scrolling, or just hiding from your responsibilities, consider this your official permission to tune out the world and tune into the drama. [00:00:44] How are we doing? [00:00:45] How's it going, you guys? [00:00:48] What is up? How are we feeling? [00:00:51] I am hanging in. You know, it's been a chaotic week over here. [00:00:58] Trying to keep up with what's going on, but also keep my head afloat, child. [00:01:05] But I am excited. It's. It's been a good week, but I want to know how y' all doing? How y' all, how are we coping? Are we enjoying the warm weather? Do we miss the chilly times? [00:01:17] Where are we at? You know, I. Let me know how. How we do it. How we doing? [00:01:24] So let's dish. [00:01:27] Wow, you guys, there's been so much happening, but some breaking Bravo news. [00:01:36] Paige desorbo has decided to leave Summer House, which is such a bummer. Paige made a statement today on her Instagram story, and she said, I have a little life update for you. I've made the decision not to return to Summer House. Being part of this show has been one of the most rewarding chapters of my life. The friendship, the drama, the giggles, all unforgettable. [00:02:07] You've seen me grow up over these last seven summers. I'll always be beyond grateful for the memories, the community, and the opportunities this wild ride has brought me. But like all good things and some bad decisions, it's to time. Time for this chapter to close. To my castmates, the fans, and my NBCU family. Thank you. I never could have imagined what this journey would turn into and how many of you would be along for the ride. And you haven't seen the last of me. I promise so much more to do together, but for now, you can always find me and Daphne in my bed. [00:02:47] Was I. [00:02:48] I. I mean, it's a huge loss for the show and Bravo and one of the network's biggest stars, so I hope they can find a way to keep her in the mix, even tangentially. You know, I think there are aspects we've seen with Paige. Like she doesn't want us knowing who she's dating. Right now, her dating life is kind of off limits, especially after having such a public relationship and breakup with Craig from Southern charm, and she's very uncomfortable with sharing that. And, I mean, it makes sense. Most people would be, too. I know. I. My Scorpio ass is not putting my shit like that on blast. Okay. But I'm not on reality tv, you know, so. So I definitely understand, and I think it's the end of an amazing run. And, I mean, the timing really does make sense for her career. I feel like if she would have stayed, I kind of would have been like, girl, why? [00:03:59] Like, you just hosted, like, an Oscars. [00:04:04] Like, you were on the red carpets. [00:04:06] Like, you're doing all. You know, you've got a New York Times bestseller. Like, you can leave, you can go. So I just feel like she did one of the best jobs of almost anyone that's ever been on Bravo. Like, she's up there with, like, Bethany Frankel, Nene Leakes at really milking the opportunity and the platform and for. For what it's worth, and not relying on the show to broaden the scape of her career. And I just think it's only the beginning for Ms. Paige, but we're definitely going to miss her on our tv, but I'm sure it won't be the last we see of her. And I'm so, so happy for her, but I will truly miss her. And I'm just so curious what the. The landscape of the show is going to be now, like, with Lindsay. Like, is she going to stay? [00:05:01] Because now I'm like, okay. It's kind of okay. The main. The star of the show is kind of leaving. That would definitely. I feel like Sierra's gonna be trying to make her way out soon. You know, Amanda and Kyle, they should have, like, a spinoff almost even some New York City housewives. They need to. [00:05:23] They need to figure something out with the girls and figure out where we go when we kind of grow up. You know, when we're put out to pasture, these kind of shows like the Summer House and Vanderpump Rules, it does kind of reach a point where they. [00:05:41] They reach a level of success that it doesn't make sense for them to do the show. [00:05:47] So we need to come up with a new formula for them, because some of these people, it's like, I need them on my tv. Like, I'm so glad I. Ariana's hosting Love island because I'm like, I would be lost at sea without her, you know, And I feel like that with Paige. So hopefully they find something for her very soon. But I am very happy for her, but sad for us. Happy for her and something else that we're missing on our screens is the White Lotus, specifically Rick and Chelsea. [00:06:21] So Walton Coggins and Amy Lou Wood did an interview for Variety, and they kind of addressed all of the rumors of what was going on, why he stopped following her, and cleared the air. So, long story short, I guess Walton isn't good at goodbyes after he wraps the project, using the fact that he, quote, unquote, didn't talk to Timothy Olyphant for almost two years after rapping on Justified. [00:06:54] And he's, quote, unquote, done that with every single thing that I've done. Walton told Variety that if he were following any of his other co stars from previous projects, he would have unfollowed them too, because that's his process. [00:07:13] Walton cried while adding that shooting White Lotus was particularly painful because Thailand and Bangkok were where they filmed the show are where Walton went searching for peace after his late wife, Leanne Knight Trigger Warning died by suicide in 2004. [00:07:38] So after the show wrapped, because of his history in the place, Walton decided he needed to begin to process saying goodbye to Rick and Chelsea. So he told Amy Lou he needed to take a step back from everyone. [00:07:54] And Amy was extremely supportive about that because she knew Rick and Chelsea meant everything to Walton. [00:08:02] And since he couldn't handle speaking to Amy Lou, unfollowing her on Instagram seems like a natural progression, especially explaining that they're Amy Lou basically said they're the two most emotional and sensitive people, which definitely tracks because they were crying so much in this interview, but they're still cool. [00:08:26] In fact, Walton said they'll be friends for ever and that he's taken the space he needed. And they even tearfully talked about it during the photo shoot for Vanity Fair. He described everyone, described them as visibly emotional, seeing each other as they embraced for 30 seconds. [00:08:50] And Walton has put it in print. He told People there is no feud. I adore. I love this woman madly and she is so important to me. He then compared Amy to beloved actresses Goldie Hawn and Meg Ryan, saying that Amy can do anything and she will. She's special. [00:09:11] There is no feud. [00:09:13] She is love, and I know that I am that to her. We care about each other very deeply. [00:09:19] So that settles that and we love to hear it. I miss them so much and I'm glad that they're cool. And it makes sense why Walton had such a reaction to this season of the White Lotus, considering his history and what he's been through. And he just needed a minute. I Get. [00:09:39] Okay. Walton's a Scorpio just like me, honey. And sometimes you need a minute to process, and you kind of have to put that boundary and take a step to kind of recalibrate yourself, you know, I feel like most Scorpios are extroverted introverts, so that tracks. I love them. I'm glad that they're. [00:10:03] They're Gucci. [00:10:04] Okay, we're going to talk. We're going to go to the court. Order in the court. [00:10:09] We're going to talk about some courtroom drama that happened this week. So Tom Girardi, AKA Erica Girardi, AKA Erica Jane from Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. [00:10:25] Yes, they are still married, technically, but Tom Girardi was. Was sentenced to seven years in prison. [00:10:33] And the judge ruled, despite the dementia claims, that she didn't buy it. [00:10:39] She sentenced him to seven years and for stealing $15 million from injured clients in a long running Ponzi scheme. [00:10:50] And he's been at a treatment center for his age related dementia. [00:10:54] And he was actually sentenced on his 86th birthday. [00:10:59] So I know I talked to some friends about it and they were like, seven years. That's it. After what he did to those victims. And it is, it seems like a short sentence, but for an 86 year old who has dementia, that's a death sentence. [00:11:16] Like, I don't know if he's going to see life outside of the prison. [00:11:23] And he looks very different from the Tom from Real Housewives of Beverly Hills who was like, I played with John Wayne when I was a kid. You know, like, he definitely looked unwell. But the judge, Judge Statins, almost said judge, Judge Sutton. [00:11:44] Judge Staten ultimately determined that the prisons can adequately house care for the 86 year olds despite his cognitive impairment. [00:11:55] And he definitely exhibited some confusion about the past and his awareness of his current surroundings. In the courtroom, when asked by one of his attorneys if he had traveled recently, he confidently talked about going across the country and going to New York and Oklahoma and taking a case in Buffalo, New York. And when actually he's been in the secure memory care section of an assistant living facility in Orange county for over two years, except for the six weeks he spent at the beginning of the year being evaluated at a facility in North Carolina. [00:12:41] And when they asked him where he lives, he kind of was all over the place. I think he said Pasadena. [00:12:50] He talked about how he's going to go back to his law firm even though they've been dealing with bankruptcy for the last five years. And one thing that was interesting, though, was that when Questioned about any current problems, he would respond, quote, serious memory loss. [00:13:13] So they would ask him anything, and he would say, serious memory loss. And the judge took that as evidence that Girardi retained self awareness, and he had not completely lost touch with reality. [00:13:32] So if he really just made some shit up, then maybe he would have ended up in that treatment room. You know, like the story of the car flipping over and the burglar coming in and breaking his ankle. Like, he should have really pulled some shit out of his hat instead of having a little too much self awareness. [00:13:55] And this is. This is actually kind of sad. When he was leaving the witness stand, his pants fell down. His pants started falling down, and he quickly pulled them up, which the judge also said was another indication that he was aware that he was in the courtroom and he could feel embarrassment. [00:14:20] So, damn, if he would have just told some crazy lies and let his pants fall down, maybe he would have stayed in a treatment center. [00:14:30] So that is. [00:14:33] That's really, really sad. And I know his lawyers were definitely fighting for that. But, I mean, I. Yeah, his law firm, like I said, has been filing for bankruptcy. They've been going through this for a few years because it faces more than $500 million in claims against it as of now. And it's just a very sad end to this story. And this. I mean, it's sad for him, but at the same time, this man straight up cheated victims right and left. [00:15:10] And I think that's the hard thing to like, this man's life will end behind bars, and he had such a prolific story up until then. And I'm very curious if Erica's gonna comment on any of this. I know at the reunion this year, she said she had not talked to him in a long time. She said she doesn't even answer his call calls anymore. [00:15:36] So I wonder if she'll have anything to say about this or anything at all from one case wrapping up to another one just getting messy and messier. [00:15:47] Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni. [00:15:51] Woof. Chile. Woof. [00:15:54] So Blake Lively drops two charges in her ongoing legal battle with Justin Baldoni that Justin intentionally caused her emotional distress after his legal team demanded to see medical proof in a new court filing exclusively obtained by the Daily Mail. Because their lawyers are so in cahoots with the Daily Mail, it is crazy. [00:16:20] Oh, my God. It shows that the actress has also withdrawn a second claim of. Of negligent infliction of emotional distress and is trying to avoid having to share her health records with Justin Baldoni's legal team. [00:16:37] So the article says there was a sting in the tail for Baldoni, who now has two fewer claims to defend himself from after the actress managed to drop the claims without prejudice, meaning they could be refiled. So that's like either file it or don't refile it. I just. [00:16:59] This case is just so wacky. [00:17:04] And this has sent a whole new round of legal letters for Beldoni's team, insisting that Blake Lively is trying to have it both ways and demanding that she comply within a reasonable request to see her medical documents. [00:17:20] Some insiders told the Daily Mail at Lively's lawyers had hoped to quietly ditch the emotional distress elements of the lawsuit to dodge having to record her medical records. She doesn't want them out there. [00:17:36] And I'm like, what's in these medical records now? I. It's just so. Ugh. She does not want them getting that out. [00:17:45] And, you know, at this point, everyone is looking over everything with a fine tooth comb. You know, like, at this, it's. It's really. I feel like you gotta stand 10 toes down in your convictions because the more that's coming out specifically for Blake, these kind of last minute moves are just already making her look even worse than she already is in some ways, you know, And I just wonder if we're close to a settlement or this will actually make it to trial because the trial date is scheduled for March 20, 2026. [00:18:25] Lively said it severely impacted her physical, psychological and emotional well being, all of which she could would show up in her medical records. So like I said, their lawyers definitely have good relationship with these outlets, Daily Mail and tmz. And I notice that when I'm reading anything about this case is just the emotional distress as part of. [00:18:54] There are numerous claims in the lawsuit, obviously the sh and the retaliation. And it's just a smear campaign on both ends, truly. And they've kind of both done so much damage to one another careers at this point. So anything else, it's just making it worse. But this time, I mean, she dropped two of the claims, so that is a win for Justin. But yeah, at this point, I feel like the careers are kind of tarnished. [00:19:30] But a career that is not tarnished is Ms. Taylor Swift. [00:19:35] Okay? Her career just had a major breakthrough. [00:19:41] Taylor bought all her masters back. [00:19:44] And in a handwritten letter to her fans, she said, quote, this is my greatest dream come true. [00:19:53] When she was thanking the company Shamrock, that sold the rights back to her. And she added, all I've ever wanted was the opportunity to work hard enough to be able to one day purchase my music back with no strings attached, no partnership, with full autonomy. I'll be forever grateful for everyone at Shamrock Capital for being the first people to ever offer this to me. My first tattoo might just be a huge shamrock in the middle of my forehead. [00:20:24] This is another variety piece. They said the price tag was grossly inflated and there was no involvement with Scooter Braun. We know Scooter Braun, former manager of so many stars. Justin Bieber, Demi Lovato, Ariana Grande bought the rights to her catalog in 2019 before Shamrock acquired it a year later. And Swift's camp is very adamant that Scooter had no involvement in this decision whatsoever. And the price range was also reported as highly inaccurate. And no price tag will be forthcoming. But insiders say the seller was interested in making a good faith deal. [00:21:12] And the ultimate price was closer to the 300 million paid by Shamrock in 2020 than the extravagant 600 million to 1 billion hypothesis in a story by the New York Post. [00:21:29] So for my fellow Swifties who are listening, hello. Hi. I love you, but I'm just like, how do we go about this now? She has her. Her music back. So are we switching back to the originals? Are we going to continue to stream the Taylor's versions? [00:21:50] Should we create like a whole new playlist and do go back and forth with the new versions and the older versions varied song to song? What are we doing? Let me know what we're gonna do. I know some of you are literally gonna message me while you're listening to this and give me the play by play. And I look forward to it. Shout out, Lindsay, I love you. [00:22:18] Happy belated birthday girl. [00:22:20] One of our number one dishers in the ultimate Swifty Honey. [00:22:25] But I am going to go back to the Blake adjustin of it all because it's very relevant with Taylor in this moment. [00:22:35] If y' all remember, I talked about this a couple weeks ago when this came out, that allegedly Blake blackmailed Taylor, that she would release their text messages if Taylor didn't support Blake. [00:22:51] And pretty much immediately after the judge in the case ruled that those allegations were admissible in court, calling them improper and irrelevant. And they didn't end up impacting the case legally because the judge threw them out. [00:23:08] But another source to the Daily Mail allegedly told them this. It says Scott Swift, AKA Taylor's father, did not want his daughter to be dragged into this any further, and he voluntarily gave up this information as part of the deal that would include Beldani's team with their subpoena. [00:23:32] So Justin's team had attempted to subpoena Taylor. And essentially, what the source is saying to the Daily Mail, allegedly, in an effort to get Justin's team to drop their subpoena to Taylor, they allegedly gave the information about Blake blackmailing her to his legal team. So Page Six recently spoke to his team, and they said there's no need for a subpoena. And the source cryptically said, the information now appears to be about the text. [00:24:09] So at this point, I mean, Taylor's not involved. This case is still going on, but it really is coming down to the court of public opinion. [00:24:20] I mean, it's an actual court, because the fact of the matter is, yes, information was willingly given, but it's not information that can be used in this legal battle. So it doesn't necessarily help them. But it was clearly important to Justin Baldoni's legal team that this piece of information was put out to the public whether it could be used against Blake or not, because they follow through with dropping a subpoena. [00:24:49] Again, all of this, it's kind of what we're seeing here. And Blake, girl, it's not looking good. One thing we saw over the weekend, Taylor was in New York having dinner with Dakota Johnson and their brothers. [00:25:06] And then Selena Gomez. [00:25:08] They had a dinner. Selena looks snatched by the way people were kind of dragging Taylor, like, oh, my God, she's pregnant, whatever. And I'm like, yeah, she's not burning thousands of calories going on tour, putting on a show every night. Like, she's on. She's chilling. Leave her alone. And if y' all did not watch the documentary, you know, every time you speculate her about her body, that could trigger her Ed. [00:25:34] So I just. [00:25:37] But the fact that Taylor is in New York with not a Lively or Reynolds in sight, and every time Taylor is in New York, she always is seen with Blake. And to me, that just speaks volumes. Like, I dare any of my best friends to come to Chicago and not fucking see me. [00:26:02] No, I dare. No, no. I have your location. If I see it's in my city. I'm tracking your ass down. If you haven't tracked me down. Okay. [00:26:13] Right. [00:26:15] So, I don't know. I think Blake should probably take a page out of Patti LuPone's book, because Ms. Patti LuPone actually issued an apology. [00:26:25] I don't know if it's just me, but I feel like this is a damn good, sincere apology. [00:26:32] So two days ago, she wrote this on her Instagram. For as long as I have worked in theater, I have spoken my mind and never apologize. And that is changing today. [00:26:44] I am deeply sorry for the words I used during the New Yorker interview, particularly about Keisha Lewis, which were demeaning and disrespectful. I regret my flippant and emotional responses during this interview, which were inappropriate. And I am devastated that my behavior has offended others and has run counter to what we hold dear in this community. [00:27:09] I hope to have the chance to speak to Audra and Keisha personally to. To offer my sincere apologies. I wholeheartedly agree with everything that was written in the open letter shared yesterday. From middle school drama club to professional stages, theater has always been about lifting each other up and welcoming those who feel like they don't belong anywhere. I made a mistake. I take full responsibility for it, and I am committed to making this right. Our entire theater community deserves better. [00:27:42] Patti LuPone okay, that's a good fucking apology. [00:27:48] Like, am I just, like going soft or. [00:27:54] I don't know. I just felt like that was really heartfelt. And that doesn't seem, I know so many of these apologies. It's either like in the Notes app and it's just like someone wrote it on the toilet or it's like, obviously your PR person wrote this. Like your crisis team wrote this. This one feels different. This is really well written and it feels like coming from the heart. And that's. I don't know, I. [00:28:22] I believe Patty and I'm just great. Like, okay, we love, we love a boomer that's self aware and can admit when they're wrong. And I mean, she did have like this open letter. 500 people wrote this open letter to Patty basically saying, this was not okay. We need you to take accountability for it. And I feel like she did that. So, I mean, actions speak louder than words. But I want to believe that that was real. I believe that that was genuine. [00:28:58] So we got to talk about the Beckhams. We got to talk about the Beckhams, babes. Because I've mentioned this before and there's been some new developments. [00:29:09] A family source acknowledged and shed some light on some things and why the shift may have started. [00:29:19] So it says that their April 2022 wedding, Brooklyn and Nicola were under the impression that they were being gifted their first dance to Marc Anthony, the source claims. However, when it came to step out on the dance floor, Brooklyn's mom Victoria was put in the spotlight instead. [00:29:40] Marc Anthony announced, please welcome the most beautiful woman in the room, Victoria Beckham. [00:29:47] And Brooklyn wasn't quite sure what to do in this awkward situation. [00:29:52] And they were shocked. [00:29:54] According to the insider, Nicola left the room crying and she eventually came back and she was able to collect herself to celebrate the rest of the wedding since they had made good faith efforts to get the night back. [00:30:12] I mean, I guess they have been trying to reconnect over the last few years and apparently the relationship is now in an okay place. I mean, none of us know the logistics of who's right, who's wrong, what actually went down. [00:30:30] But I mean, as the husband, Brooklyn, I mean, that's the way you should be acting. [00:30:36] You know, you want your husband to have your back in this sort of situation. And he posted something on Instagram the other day, like, you're my whole world. I love you so much. [00:30:48] Just having her, her back being 10 toes down for his, his wife. And I mean, it is sad, of course, because they've always just presented themselves as this unbreakable close family unit. And I don't. Did y' all watch that documentary on Netflix, the Beckham documentary? I always was a fan of them, but seeing that really made me love them even more. Just seeing everything that they went through. And we know how the press is, especially in the uk, being a person on that level, it's insane. So they really have remained such a tight knit unit. And I'm sure it's really hard and disorienting that this is happening and it's happening so publicly, you know, and the last thing I want is for the Beckhams to be falling out. Like, it is really sad. I really love them. But it is interesting taking a look at it through the lens of celebrity, you know, and it's so magnified because they're so famous and I mean, the name Victoria and David Beckham almost precedes them, you know, and hopefully they're healing and they're, they're getting through stuff. But that was a very interesting development to me. That Marc Anthony, low key like said, oh, congratulations, yeah, it's your wedding. But let's talk about your mother in law. That bitch eats like that is kind of crazy. That is kind of crazy. That would make me feel some kind of way too, for sure. On my day. [00:32:31] Absolutely not. [00:32:34] So in a way, you don't want your husband to act like this Cardi b and offset divorce situation is, oh, it's not good. And she's pissed. And understandably so. I do not blame her. He has put her through the wringer and he continues to do so in their, their ongoing divorce. And it. [00:32:57] This nigga is really not. I mean, so TMZ reported that Offset requested spousal support. He did request a specific amount in the documents, but he has requested spousal support, which is so crazy, girl. What? You don't got that swish, swish, Katy Perry money. You don't got no blue origin money. [00:33:19] So after this came out, the other thing that she revealed was that Offset has been seeing their. Their kids infrequently and basically saying that, you know, she's not keeping him from seeing his kids. Like, there is literally never a time he can't come see them, but whenever he wants to, he can come and see them. But he doesn't want to go to New York. He's based in Atlanta now, but it's like, these are little kids. This is where their life is, their friends, their school, their environment. [00:33:51] Like, their primary residence is in New York. So if you want to see your kids, you have to come to where they are. And she said there's literally never a time he's not allowed to see them. And, you know, they had another baby, little baby Blossom. [00:34:07] And after they split up, she said that he's basically seen the baby under five times in the last few months. [00:34:15] And, you know, one thing I love about Cardi, I don't know if it's the love and hip hop of it all. I feel like it's not even that. Even if she didn't start on a reality show, she is one of the most transparent celebrities we have. She really shares it all. [00:34:35] So I think the idea of not being able to talk about things, no matter what it is, it's always going to kind of, like, weigh heavy on her because she is such an open book. [00:34:47] But if he's gonna drag her name through the mud and try to, you know, get some spousal support and put her in that position, when she's literally taking care of three kids basically on her own, like, sure, she has help in her family, but for him to put her in that position, there's not a chance she's ever gonna hold back in that sort of way. No, she's not gonna take that. And I think also him asking for spousal support, that request, I think that really sent her. And she said, you know what? I'm gonna put this nigga on blast, because that's offensive. It's an offensive request given the amount of money she's paying for everything. And I also think it's a little pettiness because she recently has gone public with her new boyfriend, Stefan Diggs, who's an NFL player. He plays for the Patriots. And I'm sure part of what Cardi is dealing with, Offset, certainly is not making her life easier than since she's come forward with her new man. And we know a man hates to see when you are happy and moved on, that's when they're like, let me ruin your life. [00:36:01] Let me ruin your life. Oh, you're doing good. You've moved on. That's. That's when their Spidey senses tingle and they're like, let me go fuck her shit up. [00:36:10] All right, so one thing we've got to talk about is Netflix. Let's take a second to talk about Netflix, honey. Netflix. [00:36:21] They did their big one with the Ta Dum event. [00:36:25] That's the sound it makes when you turn on Netflix. Ta Dum. [00:36:30] It goes Ta Dum. [00:36:32] And they had their big event at the Forum in Los Angeles, and there were some major film and series announcements that came out over the weekend. [00:36:44] So I'd say, obviously, Stranger Things, the final season, season five, they will be releasing in three parts. [00:36:54] Volume one is coming out November 26th of this year. Volume two, Christmas of this year. And the finale will be on New Year's Eve of this year. [00:37:08] And I was reading something, I was like, what fucking losers are going to be posted up watching Stranger Things? And I said, reporting for duty. [00:37:19] Reporting for service. How can I help you? Cause also, you know, sometimes when you're home for the holidays, you need a break from your family. When y' all are all up under each other, I'm like, I need a little escape. So Stranger Things will definitely be that for me when I need to check out because I can't hear them arguing about who clogged the toilet and who messed who started digging in the food, you know? So I'm gonna be posted up, and I am excited. We've been waiting so long for the final season. I mean, it's weird. Like, all the kids are grown. Millie Bobby Brown is married. Like, they're all grown ass people. So I'm really excited to finally see how it ends. Hopefully they do it justice because we've been with them for so long. [00:38:09] And we got Wednesday, season two. [00:38:12] Part one of season two will be on August 6th of this year, and part two will be released on September 3rd. [00:38:20] And we also have a new cast member, which I'm so excited about for Wednesday, Season two. [00:38:28] This is from the Twisted Mind of Tim Burton and the new cast members, Lady Gaga. [00:38:34] She's joining as Professor Rosalind Rothwood, a mysterious teacher at Nevermore Academy. [00:38:41] And they Showed a six minute preview of the season and they also had Lady Gaga come out and perform and she did abracadabra with Jenna Ortega was on stage with her and it's so, so exciting, that performance. Also I have full flow body chills. Oh my God, that performance was so good. I mean, name a Lady Gaga performance that isn't fucking good. [00:39:11] But oh, it was, it was really next level. I love Wednesday as is and throwing Lady Gaga into it. [00:39:22] Oh my God, I literally can not wait. And I think Lady Gaga is such a good actor and she's just so magnetic and everything she does is incredible. And I need a redemption arc after Joker, Audie Fools, whatever, that abysmal. Just wasting her talent in that fucking movie. And this is the next one and I'm really, really looking forward to it. I cannot wait. [00:39:57] This is another one. Squid Game. We got obviously season one, one of the most watched TV shows ever. An astounding hit all around the world. [00:40:09] And season two, it didn't really get as many views even though, I mean it was still a huge hit for Netflix. But it was not on the same level as the first season. [00:40:24] I, I didn't, of course I personally didn't like it as much as the first season, but I still really enjoyed it. I know a lot of people hated the second season. It definitely did not have the same fever pitch like holy shit, this show. [00:40:43] But I thought it was okay. The new season will be released on June 27. [00:40:50] I don't know if anyone has noticed this that you know, they're doing these part ones and volumes twos and all of that stuff. And I think it's kind of interesting thing where Netflix is really the streaming service that gave us the binge watching and now they're kind of being like, no, hey Endosis, we'll just do drops. [00:41:13] And honestly I love that. I low key prefer that because, you know, I'm praying for Hulu to start doing that. Especially you know, with shows like paradise, which was a phenomenal show, or even Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. Like we're already kind of not talking about it as much as we were and it's only been a couple weeks and I think if you go, you know, maybe two episodes, two, three episodes per week, it can really help with just keeping the conversation flowing with the shows, you know. But yeah, season three, Squid Game, they released a trailer online and there's a bunch of new deadly challenges and a confrontation with June and the unmasked frontman Ortiz. [00:42:05] And it's going to be, I'm Going to be tuned in. I got to see how it ends. You know, I got to see what's going on. [00:42:13] And this was something I kind of wish that they would have done at the event, but they did not. But nobody wants this with Adam Brody and Kristen Bell was a huge hit last year. It's coming back for season two October 23rd. [00:42:29] Yay. [00:42:30] I can't wait. I'm literally so excited. And there's a couple interesting developments behind the scenes. [00:42:39] They have some new showrunners and I think that Erin Foster, the creator of the show, she was one of the showrunners. I believe she's still writing for the show, but maybe she's not the head. She might be the head writer. But there are new showrunners that they brought on. [00:42:58] Jenny Connor, who is known for being the showrunner of alongside Lena Dunham for Girls. [00:43:08] So she's great. Love, love Jenny's work. [00:43:13] And we know Girls has had such a resurgence over the last few years. And Bruce Eric Kaplan, who is known for his work on Six Feet under, one of my favorite shows of all time. So I'm excited. You know, sometimes they say if it ain't broke, don't fix it. But I am curious to kind of see what these two bring, especially having that HBO kind of flair. It does hit different. [00:43:41] So I feel like it's going to be a different kind of setting and I'm pretty hype about it. And this is some exciting, cute news. Adam Brody's wife, Leighton Meester from Gossip Girl, our one and only Blair Waldorf, our headband wearing queen is joining the cast as Abby, Joanne's middle school nemesis turned Instagram mommy influencer. [00:44:08] So we have a new character and that's really fun. [00:44:11] And you know, Adam and Leighton lost their home in the fires earlier this year, so it is great to see them working together, getting that check. I'm always rooting for those two. I my Seth Cohen and Blair Waldorf for life. Seth, I mean, Adam Brody will always be that guy for me, always and forever. And I'm really excited that they're getting their flowers right now and it's a win for us. So if you have not seen Nobody wants this, I highly recommend it is such a good, cozy, fun, fun watch. I'm really looking forward to that next season. [00:44:55] And now we'll get into some of the movies that they announced. [00:45:00] This is hard because Netflix is the biggest in the game, you know, and they really not only make TV shows, but they're, they're making movies too. [00:45:09] And I just Always think, like, Christopher Nolan, Sean Baker, Tom Cruise, lol. All CIS white men who advocate for the quote unquote in theater experience, which I love. [00:45:26] But, you know, you know, they hate Netflix with, like, everything, because sometimes it does truly take away from that life experience, you know, So I do understand that. Because sometimes they're like, fuck it, we'll give you $200 million to make a movie and we're just gonna put it up on our surface and make 10 times more. That's what they're doing with Guillermo del Toro's Frankenstein. [00:45:54] And I can not fucking wait for this movie. [00:45:59] Frankenstein. The story is being told once again, but this time it's by Guillermo del Toro, who is one of the best filmmakers alive. [00:46:10] I mean, Pan's Labyrinth, the Shape of Water. [00:46:13] He is a filmmaker who makes films, not movies. [00:46:19] And my friend Dema, shout out to Demon, love you. She was in Cannes this past year and she said that he was a big teddy bear, the nicest guy, was so sweet to his fans, signed everything, talked to them. And that just made me love him even more that someone so talented and incredible as he is is such, like, a sweet, down to earth guy. [00:46:46] I can't wait. But yeah, he's doing Frankenstein. They debuted the trailer is Oscar Isaac in the role of Dr. Victor Frankenstein. And Jacob Elordi. Yes, Jacob Elordi from Saltbird and Euphoria fame is playing the monster Frankenstein. Guys. Okay, first I'm horny for Nosferatu, and now I'm finna be horny for Frankenstein. [00:47:13] What is happening? [00:47:15] Like, oh, I don't know if you guys know. Well, you wouldn't know this unless you're like a bestie. I saw Nosferatu like four times in the theater. I was locked in for Nosferatu. I was like, that's my man. [00:47:29] And I don't know if it's the Bill Skarsgard of it all. Well, yeah, I do think it's mostly him because I just love him. But I was like, oh. Like I saw with I one friend. Well, I saw with a group of people and one of my friends said, of course you liked it. You're Scorpio. And I'll. Because I said this movie spoke to me and I have a feeling Frankenstein is going to do that too. So I guess I'm just horny for the monsters, girl. I like an underdog. Okay. I like a little like, oh, you're crazy. I like that. Like, oh, you got a story. Tell me about it. Let's go there. [00:48:09] So, yeah, this is the first time. Frankenstein's gonna be fucking six foot five, naturally. No stilts with a six pack and that BDE that big. [00:48:23] Or maybe bme big monster energy. But I'm. Oh, he's gonna be hot even as a fucking monster. Because they tried to do it with Bill and Nosferatu and I still was horny for Orloff. Okay. [00:48:37] Mia Goth is playing Elizabeth and Mia Goth has been in all the Pearl movies of a 24. I didn't really care for Maxine as much as I loved the Ex and Pearl, but she's phenomenal. That's gonna be really fun. That's set to premiere in November of this year. We don't have an exact date on that movie, but I'm very excited, also super excited for the third film of the Knives Out Mysteries. [00:49:07] So we have Knives out, the original, and then we have Knives Out Glass Onion, the second one, a couple years ago with Edward Norton and Janelle Monae. [00:49:16] And now we have Wake Up Dead Man, A Knives out mystery, premiering December 12th of this year. [00:49:25] And this will still feature Daniel Craig as Benoit Blank, the detective. They had a little teaser for this and Rian Johnson is the filmmaker behind the series and also the show Poker Face on Peacock with Natasha Leone. If you haven't watched that and you love Knives Out, Poker Face is so, so good. Definitely been watching it. I just haven't been able to make it a meal because like I said, the pop culture gods are not taking a day off and we've got too much tea and stuff to talk about. [00:50:02] But I don't think we're going to end with just those three movies. I definitely feel like they're going to keep turning them out because I mean, it's fun. We love a murder mystery. I just hope that they can retain the quality that they have because, you know, I thought that the first two movies were amazing. I loved the second one. I know it had some mixed reviews, but so far I've been eating it up. So I'm sure they're gonna keep them rolling out. And then we have Happy Gilmore 2, which is premiering July 25th. [00:50:34] The original came out in 1995, so it's 30 years later, which is insane. [00:50:40] Makes me feel fucking weird because I grew up watching it. And I mean, Adam Sandler has such a good relationship with Netflix. I. I mean they've allowed him to make a string of shitty ass movies on that platform. Yeah, I mean I'm a watch it. I'll probably take an edible and just like hehe haha. Laugh my inner child in that. [00:51:05] We also got Ben Affleck and Matt Damon. They were promoting their upcoming crime film the Rip which will be released January 18th of next year. [00:51:18] And Damon still has his big Odyssey beard. He's filming Christopher Nolan's the Odyssey and he's the lead. And I love that for Matt Damon. I really do. He deserves to be a lead in a Christopher Nolan movie. [00:51:34] He, he was so good in Oppenheimer and you know, I just, I miss him. I feel like we, we don't get him as much as we used to. [00:51:43] Like when I was growing up, it was like Goodwill hunting and the Bourne series. But yeah, we got all these announcements and after this. So get this. I don't know if you guys are like me. I like statistics and numbers. If you haven't read my substacks, you know, I like a statistic. I like a number. [00:52:04] And there was a stock surge for Netflix. Their rates were at an all time high after the TUDUM event, closing at 12. $12.81 per share because of all the hoopla that Netflix created over the weekend. [00:52:24] And you know, I was an original Netflix subscriber. I don't know if anyone else was. I literally begged my mom to get to sign us up. We would get those three DVDs in the mail and they would come in that little red envelope and talk about a T. [00:52:42] I would get so excited. And I just remember adding stuff to my queue and waiting for it to come in the mail. And Gen Z, it just had to be there, truly. And I mean, in retrospect, it did end video stores like Blockbuster buybacks, all of those. [00:53:06] And as someone who does love physical media, I have a collection of hundreds of DVDs and VHS still. I have a VCR. That's what I'm rocking. And it obviously is upsetting. [00:53:23] And it also made a huge dent in the film industry as we know it in general and their jump to streaming. And it's crazy because Blockbuster could have been a part of the, the Netflix streaming. Like they had the opportunity to get involved and they turned it down. [00:53:42] And Netflix could have partnered up with Blockbuster at one point. And that's just a crazy alternate reality. In one of the everything everywhere all at once universes, Blockbuster and Netflix are partnered together. You know what I mean? [00:53:59] We are going to get into some of our dishes, shall we? [00:54:05] So my appetizer this week is Next Gen NYC on Bravo. It's a new show. They just had their premiere. So that's a big reason why it's the appetizer because it's still early days and it's a very young cast. You know, some of them are children of Housewives and Bravo liberties. And you know, it, the first episode, it was cute, it was decent. You know, I'm, I'm excited to see more, especially to get, we're going to get some fun pop ins from Theresa Giudice, Kandi Barris, Meredith Marx, Kim Zolciak. [00:54:45] And one thing I really love, I feel like I'm going to love about this show is that it's such low level drama. [00:54:54] There's a storyline about a girl who brushes her hair with a fork, which. Gross. Doesn't wash her hands. [00:55:03] What. And then touches the bottom of a shoe. Like that's the kind of things that they're dealing with in the first episode that we're looking at. And sometimes, you know, when you're dealing with the real world and you know, if you're watching the Valley or Housewives, Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, that's like high level drama. You know, that's like, oh shit, there's kids involved, there's divorce, there's cheating. [00:55:33] All of these like big, big life things happening to these characters, these people who are on the show that we've known for so long, some over a decade. [00:55:45] Like, to me that's high level drama. This is super low, low, low stakes. [00:55:52] And you know, some of them are so dumb. Like there's some dude that's like a bitcoin trader and another who's like the, the heir to the Zaxby's throne and you know, it's, it's just fun, light hearted. You're not watching it being like, oh God, I don't believe in love anymore. What is my purpose in life? What's the future look like? You know, it's, it's a fun little watch. So my main course is Love Island. [00:56:27] I'm so excited for this season, you guys. I've, I wrote an article, I've talked. If you know me, you know, I'm 10 toes down, whole chest in every, everything you can think of. That's how I feel about Love Island. [00:56:40] I just, every kind of adoration. I love it so much. [00:56:47] Summertime, like I said before, is for Love Island. And I know what's still early days in it. In it early days, but so far so fudgeing good. You know, there's been some controversy with this new cast because the Ulyssa just, they said exit in the middle of the night. They say get the fuck out. We saw that clip of you on that podcast saying the N word, appropriating like girl. [00:57:17] No. So I'm grateful that they did that and you know, I'm excited. And I'm also so excited to announce that we are going to be doing an additional episode. [00:57:32] So, yeah, clutch your pearls, catch your breath, have a seat. [00:57:37] Because we're going to be adding an additional Love island heaping of the Dish with Tish Dropping on Wednesday nights. The only night off from Love island because we just got to fill in that void. We're going to be wrapping our head around the theories and what's going to happen throughout the week with an additional episode of the Dish with Tish Love island edition. And I can't wait, babes. It's going to be so fabulous. It's going to be so good. [00:58:08] And my dessert this week is the Valley. [00:58:14] Oh my gosh. Okay. So I actually did really like this episode of the Valley because kind of a little bit of everything, it was, it had some funny parts and it had some dark parts and then it has some very drama filled parts. You know, I also laughed at the same time, you know, I feel bad for Jason because you could tell like that part where he was on the beach in that conversation with Jasmine, like he was fully contemplating going into the ocean, but he was really. I, I feel bad for it because I like Jason. I do think he, he seems like a really chill, sweet guy, but I do not like his wife. [00:59:00] I'm really like, what do you. I mean, maybe she is cool, but I just don't see it because to me he's so chill and kind and hot is. She is just such like what Jasmine said, you're giving Karen energy and I don't like that. She does, she really does. And you know, we're just seeing this, man, the last couple episodes just slowly disintegrate, like in real time, legitimately crumbling. And you almost, I at least feel bad for him. But that's the life you chose when you chose her to be your wife, you know, So I like, I feel bad, but at the same time I'm like, you chose this life. [00:59:47] And same goes. I mean, Britney and Jax, but I mean, Jax is just truly. Talk about dark. [00:59:55] I am not looking forward to him coming back on the show. Honestly, I think he comes back episode 10 and I'm like, fuck. [01:00:02] Because he's already just ruining Britney's life and her credit. What do you mean? You haven't paid the mortgage in like six, seven months. [01:00:11] Y' all have a kid who's autistic. [01:00:15] Like, what are you doing? I just cannot with Jax. He just irritates my whole soul. And I'm. You already know. It's this. That's. The Valley is high stakes tv, okay? [01:00:31] It stresses me out sometimes. I don't think some of it should be televised, but God damn, I can't look away. [01:00:40] I can't look away, child. [01:00:43] So that's. That's my meal for this week. And I also want to give an honorable mention to Real Housewives of Atlanta, filming their reunion today. And no Kenya and no Brit. Brit decided not to show her ass up to the reunion. And that's. [01:01:03] I just am, like, not Kenya losing her job for the one seasoned housewife who didn't even come to the reunion. [01:01:11] Britt. Edie literally had the worst tenure of any housewife I can think of. [01:01:19] Maybe Joyce from Beverly Hills had a bad season, but at least she was like, semi charming. Brit literally gave nothing. [01:01:28] The only thing I wanted from Brit was for her to blow her fucking nose. Oh, my God. [01:01:35] So that's crazy. We'll definitely get into that. They're on their trip on the show right now, and I have a feeling that may be making the meal next week, but whew, I'm full, I'm fed, and frankly, we ate that. If you've made it this far, congratulations. Because you know more about Bravo, pop stars, Netflix, and people named Tom than any one person probably should. But that's what I'm here for. And if you're feeling full emotionally and spiritually, don't forget to leave us a five star Yelp review. [01:02:13] I mean, podcast rating, obviously, but it helps those little no see foodies find their way to our table. And make sure you keep your eyes peeled for the dish with Tish. Our extra Helping Love island edition coming out on Wednesday. [01:02:30] I'm going to have some special guest and it's going to be fun and I love you guys so much. Until next time, I'm Tish, and this has been the dish with Tish. [01:02:44] Bye. See you next week.
